Boosted Razor Scooter

A kids razor scooter which I cut the back off of and welded a mount for a hoverboard motor to. I also chopped the steering shaft in two and spliced it together with a steel tube to make it taller.

It made an insanely torquey way of getting to my internship in summer 2022.

It sports a pair of 6s 4000 mAh batteries, a new brake line and throttle, as well as a cheap Chinese ebike controller. Surprisingly good method of transport for a total cost of $50.

I first had a cantilevered mount for the motor, but I had to add a diagonal support because the wheel kept bending into the frame.
